A New School Semester

I was able to work today at the U of A Adult Hearing Clinic fitting hearing aids. It was my second time working at the clinic and as such I was a bit nervous. My supervisor (Dr. Muller) was nice enough to let me do some things hands on so that I could start the learning process.

I was also able to find out exactly what my spring semester schedule will look like. Dr. Muller let me know that I was selected at the only first year student to work 2 half days in the clinic. Usually first years start out working only 1 half day. It was a surprise to me and a great complement that they see that I have the desire and potential to take this on and do well. It will make my life a bit more busy than I had expected, but it will work out. All in all it ends up that I will be in class or clinic from 8 am to 6:15 pm on Mondays & Wednesdays and from 12:30 pm to 6 pm on Fridays. My Mondays & Wednesdays will be a bear, but it will be nice to have Tuesday & Thursdays free. Wish me luck.

wow! how exciting! i'm taking one in-seat class and 2 online classes this semester. the online classes are only 8 weeks (one from Jan-Mar and one from Mar-May), so i'll only be in class on Monday evenings, which will be nice. :)

Good luck! That is a long time away on M/W, but it's definitely nice to have days off.

good luck with your schedule--I love having complete days off--I'd rather pack more school into one day in order to enjoy those days off--although it does get a little long.

Impressive! You are such a good student. I don't know if I would be able to do so well with my kids at home. I really admire you.
